Irish music veteran Jim Ediger, modern jazz veteran Alan Gleason, and I were the “Tokyo AJA Trio”, playing regularly around Tokyo from the fall of 2011 into 2016.
Seeing that folks were drifting towards other priorities that might include leaving Tokyo, I thought we should record an album to document how we sound as a group.
Once again, thanks to the fine work of engineer Seiki-Kitano at Bang On Recordings, our live recording reflects the group’s chemistry.
