A friend who, 25 years ago, heard and appreciated my version of “Voodoo Child” sponsored this CD. He told me he wanted me to record an electric version, an acoustic version, and then an acoustic instrumental of mine.
Of course, having bassist Alan Gleason in the Bang On Recordings studio (summer of 2016) filled me with enthusiasm, and we recorded two electric duo versions of “Voodoo Child”, as well as various takes of “Villa Nova Junction Blues”. “Center Eye” is a piece with lyrics that I hope to record for commercial release … one of these days.
